Celebrating the Women at CamdenBoss: Empowering Change on International Women's Day Saturday 9th March 2025

As the world celebrates International Women's Day, it’s a perfect opportunity for CamdenBoss to spotlight the women making a difference in their very own company. These women are not just playing pivotal roles—they're leading the charge in innovation, leadership and excellence. The team would like to take a moment to recognise their contributions, celebrate their achievements, and reflect on their journey at CamdenBoss.

Who is CamdenBoss?

For those unfamiliar with CamdenBoss, the company is a well-established leader in providing high-quality enclosures, components, and custom solutions for a variety of industries. With a reputation for precision, innovation, and a commitment to quality, CamdenBoss has carved a name for itself over the 60 years of business as a top UK based plastic manufacturer. But it’s not just the technology and products that make CamdenBoss stand out—it’s the people behind it.

CamdenBoss understands the importance of supporting and empowering women in the workplace. The company has created a culture where women can thrive, with opportunities for growth, mentorship, and professional development. With a female Financial Director, Karen Bottomley, at the helm and nearly 40% of the workforce currently at CamdenBoss being women, it is the perfect time to highlight some of their hard work that go into customer projects.

Charlie Box, Head of Marketing, is one of the newer members of the CamdenBoss team and has already been blown away by the incredibly strong, knowledgeable and supportive women within the business. She took great pleasure in collating this article and highlighting some important examples of the women driving growth. Without further ado, let’s follow the product process and see who we find on the way through…

Mia Long is one of our Senior Account Managers here at CamdenBoss and has been with us since 2015. You might see Mia on the exhibition stand, out and about on visits or busy tapping away on her keyboard getting your enquiries responded to. If you’re a UK Customer and call or email into our Sales team – she’s got your back for product knowledge, price and availability!

Hayley Coomber is our International Account Co-Ordinator. An important fact to note here is that Hayley is our longest serving employee, starting in 1983 she has more than 40 years of knowledge and expertise. She's seen the company grow from strength to strength and has been an integral part in the process. If you’re calling in from overseas, Hayley will be sure to help you out with all your product needs and does it with a smile on her face and a spring in her step.

Charlotte Bidwell is our Head of Technical and has a Degree in Engineering. Charlotte is a perfect example of how championing women in typically male orientated roles is critical. Charlotte started out as an apprentice and now leads a very busy team consisting of Design and Technical Engineers to produce solution-based products, the Product Compliance team, the Continuous Improvement team and the Quality team all of which ensure the highest level of product and service possible. If you’ve enquired about a custom product with detailed specifications, Charlotte and her team will be the ones working with you to perfect the design and produce a prototype before signing off for production.

Tracey Wheeler is the Logistics Manager and has worked at CamdenBoss since 2002 – another long serving employee with 20+ years of knowledge to bring to the table. Tracey is the lady who will keep us stocked up with materials and components, allowing for fast turnaround times to meet your requirements. She not only nurtures and supports internally but has strong relationships with suppliers too. There’s nothing Tracey doesn’t know about the logistics and purchasing at CamdenBoss!

Jane Brown is one of our Planners in Production, and we have been lucky enough to have Jane working for CamdenBoss since 1992 – more than 30 years! Jane is a master co-ordinator and makes sure any product build requirements are planned and scheduled to deliver on time for you – it’s a tricky job and requires lots of communication between departments but with Jane and the production teams on the case, your projects are in safe hands.

Last but not least, we have an all-female Finance team so once your products are signed, sealed and delivered, the Finance ladies will use their combined expertise to

iron out all of the paperwork and make sure from an accounts side everything runs tickety-boo!
